Tropical Storm Noel

We are catching the rain from this storm right now. It has rained nonstop since Saturday afternoon and at times it is very heavy. There are many trees down in the capital and evidently certain areas of the city are in red alert. But we are okay! The only thing we are experiencing is a blackout - which evidently is in the whole city. We had 5 hours of electricity in the last 30 hours. Our invertor has shut down so we are without anything. The children are off school today since there is no electricity to run the computers - which is how they do their school.

Our refrigerator is not keeping cold and we are afraid of losing everything in it. We went to a friend's house to pick up a generator to at least run the refrigerator for a while. Evidently, though, the blackout will continue until the storm has passed. Right now they are saying we will be in it all day tomorrow, too.

It is actually cool enough that we could enjoy a cup of hot chocolate! Thank you, Lord. And for the rest of the day.......it looks like maybe some games with the children. They'll be sure to love that.
